Jun 16, 2010, 10:48 amThere is a serious problem with the lighting at Queensmead Netball Courts, many if not nearly all the lights are NOT working. Therefore the later games of 8.45. have serious problems of running out of light.
It has therefore been decided by the committee that we shall have to reduce ALL the games 7.30 & 8.45 to 40 minute games. This will ensure that all matche can still be played. This will mean that ALL the later games will then start at 8.20pm this will ensure that 40 mins will be able to be played still while light.
Therefore please make sure that all your players, scorers and all your umpires are notified immediately as this takes effect from NOW. Please ensure that players, scorers and Umpires are on time promptly at 7.30 to start the games and that also that all players and umpires are also there to start prompt at 8.20pm.
To Confim:
Match Length: 40 Minutes
Match Quarters: 4 x 10 Minute Quarters
Start Times: 7.30 Matches - These will still start at 7.30 p.m.
8.45 Matches - These will start at 8.20 p.m.
We thank you for your co-operation and with the above being adhered to we will then be able to fulfil the remaining fixtures. We have been trying to resolve this problem for a long time with Queensmead, now futher lights are out the situation is much worse. We do assure you that we are in talks with the Queensmead Sports Centre and we are endeavouring to resolve this problem and will continue to be communicating with them until this problem is resolved by them.
